The Plaza Cutlery Custom Knife Show, CRK Table.

Chris and his lovely bride are always a pleasure to talk to. :)

Anne and Chris have a great deal of knowledge and will take the time to talk to you, at no time does it ever feel like your wasting their time. They are just really great people, much like the Glesser's.

You should have bought BigMark's decorated Umnumzaan! I think the blade is polished.

I wouldn't say it is polished :D but it has a very very high satin finish ;) near polished

Are there going to be any proto/first run Ti-Locks available for collectors?

more tidbits would be that all knives will change to S35VN eventually. also there will be a slight change to the design of the umnumzaan, i will just keep that a secret ;)

Thank God for the steel change. I really don't like the low toughness of S30V.

the plaza cutlery custom knife show was a blast this last weekend. one of the highlights, for me, was meeting Chris Reeve and talking knives.

also asked about a small umnumzaan Chris just laughed and shook his head no, sorry guys it isnt gonna happen.

I think I'll pretend I didn't read that. :(

im not sure when the changes will happen, my guess would be when the Ti lock comes out sometime next year.

So, is it definite that the Ti-Lock will not be coming out until next year? Did Chris give you any ideas as to when next year? The CRK website still shows: "late Fall 2010."

I'm very envious. The Ti-Lock went to the top of my Wish List (admittedly with a few other knives) almost as soon as I saw it.

Thanks for sharing!

Um, whaaa? :)

The current hardness or lack thereof in the current production S30V has not yielded any significant # of complaints of chipping, rolling, etc. that I've read.

What are you basing your opinion on?

Professor.

yeah, CRK runs their S30V at around 58-59 HRC to avoid just that
