These stories may seem all too common here on the Porch, but I for one, never tire of reading about them. The finest people I know all come together right here on this sub-forum. Last week was just one package after another of incredible goodness.
I had been looking for a stainless 15 in Old Barn Chestnut for my grandson. My pal Paul Hilborn stepped up and said remove that signature line. There's one coming. But he also included something else for my grandson that made his day too. A NE Patriots jersey of one of our favorite retired players; Teddy Bruschi. Teddy was one of the finest defensive lineman to play the game. Paul knows my grandson is a big football fan. Paul and his boys are huge Patriots fans as well. Thank you so much from Bo (my grandson) Paul.

Then a package from my Pal Ron (Half/Stop) showed up. Ron thoughtfully put together some Rendezvous items and a stunning 1972 Case 6247 in amazing red bone covers. The 1972 Case was significant in that Ron graduated high school that year (I told you guys he was old
). He also included a Rendezvous hat pin, a GEC Cutlery book about the history of the brand and a very thoughtful card signed by some fine members of the forum that were in attendance at this years Rendezvous. IE; Ron and his lovely wife Pam, Charlie C., Lyle Fry, Jack Lam (mrknife), Sarah (Pertinux), John (aka Augie). Thank you all for the sentiment and the card. And big thanks to Ron. My grandson is engrossed in that book and he's teaching me things I did not know.

Then Jack Lam (mrknife) sent me a package of four knives.
Jack said keep them all or keep what I wanted and sell the others. Essentially he left it up to me to decide. I ended up selling three Schatt & Morgan knives and keeping a Northfield 48 Templar because I found it so unique. Thank you Jack. The money went to good use and the knife is awesome.

And if all that wasn't incredible enough, I received yet another package yesterday from forum member Bigfattyt (Tyson). Tyson sent me a well loved Day's Work TC Barlow in brown sawcut bone. Very awesome and honest patina on this knife. I love it my friend and it's currently in my pocket.

You folks are all amazing and have done a great job of lifting my spirits in an otherwise very bad week I was having. Thank you all from the bottom of my heart. I love you guys.
