The Post-Vacation Duplicate Re-Gift Giveaway -- WINNER!! See post #29

The knife arrived today along with a couple of small extras. I have to say that I tend to find a lot of pleasure in simple, yet sturdily crafted knives, hence my gravitation towards the lambsfoot pattern. This Pallés, though markedly different, exhibits the same simple characteristics and I am absolutely thrilled to have one in hand. The wood covers remind me of the wood on my Ankermesser and I wonder if it might be the same variety of tree. Regardless, the knife is lightweight, nimble, and sturdy. The walk and talk is quite pleasant and though the fit and finish isn't perfect, I would say it is still acceptable, especially for a working knife, which this one will soon become.

Thank you, Barrett, for hosting an outstanding giveaway and allowing me to participate. I am absolutely thrilled with this knife and am looking forward to putting it to work.

Nice Dylan :) The first time I was given one of those Spanish folders, I thought they looked very odd, but there's no fat on them, they work very well, and are a great slicers. It should pair well with your Lambsfoot my friend

Thanks, Jack. I've already put the two of them to work, side by side. And admirable combo, to be sure.

Dylan, I'm glad it made it to you! (And fairly quickly, too, considering I didn't manage to get it to the post office until late Friday afternoon!). Hope you enjoy it!
