Dear Khukuri Folk,
just a note to say my HIKV has taken a turn for the worse. I logged on the net tonight and before I knew what was happening I found that I'd ordered a Kobra 25 inch monster from Uncle Bill....
The sweats have started...the heart murmers...my Kallisti AK seems to be vibrating on the mantlepiece and whispering "At last...a companion...".
My postman will be getting some hard stares for the next few weeks.....

And then you'll need an 18" Sirupati or WWII, and...

Seriously, Jeff, look at getting a couple of 12" blems to be well hidden away given your country's attitude. If you ever have to show the knife to stop an attack at your front door, your nosy neighbors who didn't help are likely to report *you* for brandishing a weapon. Even if you acted in an absolutely appropriate manner, you may not be arrested, but you can bet your unarmed (?) constables will confiscate and lose or destroy such a "deadly weapon".

you're right of course. My problem is getting hold of these treasured blems! I only get on the net once a day and have yet to be in at the kill on a blem. I have noted your advice on a previous thread about getting in quick on these deals. An option I haven't tried is E-Bay...
I'd like to get hold of even a cheap tourist Khuk, just to test its viability as a weapon. I heard a rumor that there's a shop not too far from me with loads of Khuks...MUST check this out.

Jeff, very sorry I wasn't wrong.

Too many people even in the US are looked at strangely if they even suggest resisting a wrong being perpetrated upon them. Sigh... ( not really what I said, but they won't let me put that on this forum ).
 
I probably shouldn't post this but just got a call from a newphew telling me the USPS had screwed up yet once more.
 
Just to let you all know, Uncle Bill told me that the two Kobras he had in stock had damaged scabbards, so I've opted to get a 25" Sirupati instead. Although a fraction heavier, I do prefer the blade shape of the Sirupati.
I'm now in a state of fevered expectancy, and clearing 25 inches of mantle space:)

I think you will be better satisfied with the Sirupati, not that there's anything wrong with the Kobra, but the Sirupati is a heavier work knife.

I think it's Tom that swears by his Kobra though for just about everything. It just comes down to a matter of personal taste and I like the standard khukuris better than the light ones.:D

Now the H.I.Swords is a different story. The Tarwar is one great Sword. I'm still getting slowly aquainted with mine.
But I suppose the Kobra could be called the same ainnit? :D
 
Terry, you can slack off on the 25 inch kobra scabbard now as you can see. Jeff's getting the Sirupati instead. But, don't slack off too much! There'll be another wanting those 25 inch kobras and the 30 inch sirupatis, too. On second thought, keep working as fast as you can.

Still working!!! Put the khukuri on the floor? Why would I do that? I've never dropped one and cut my leg or anything. Do fingers grow back? HAHA!!!

That last post convinced me that you will fit right in with the sarkis at BirGorka -- not a shadow of a doubt in my mind.

The pay is 35 cents per hour and all the rice you can eat with goat meat 3 or 4 times a year.

Sounds good! I like rice, never tried goat meat but it still sounds good. 35 cents per hour I'll be rich! How much is apartment rent?
Never mind. Sandi said( rice fine goat meat NO!!!!!) So I guess the deal is off.
