Today, I was doing the classic North Carolina thing: sitting on the front porch with a beautiful view of the mountains, whittling trap triggers, when Mr. Postman drives up and I see him slip two packages into the mailbox. Whoohoo! Guess what was in there?

AND, a seriously sharp slicer from Brian Goode:

(Sorry for the quicky, crappy photos)

And guess what? Some of you members here are going to have the chance to play with them,. because I'm going to be doing passarounds of both. The Bark River passaround is courtesy of our own TonyM, who purchased the knife, and the Brian Goode passaround is courtesy of Brian Goode himself!

Whoohoo. Details will be announced in new, separate threads!

Nice scores. Brian makes a seriously cool knife for sure.

I hate passarounds, they make you want to spend more! :D

Great stuff! More pics. I'm a fan of Brian's work!

Damn what an exciting day at your place! You guys been nice to my knife...well, er WAS my knife :) I made that to acompany my marlin 336 with blackwalnut stock. Its D2 and made to be a user. Lightweight, slim yet handy and a tip yu can really get into things with. That blade pattern was meant to be a kitchen utlility but in the 1/8" stock it just screamed take me outside.

Just saying thanks in a small way I can so enjoy fellas:thumbup: Thanks for all the help and guidance along the way;)

very sweet stuff there.

i'd be very interested in handling brian goode's stuff...i already know that bark river is top notch ;)

Awesome knives.

I'm waiting for the damn delivery people to bring me a few boxes of goodies...

I think it's a conspiracy and they just want to ruin my days and make me wait...:(

Who said that??? Damn UFOs...

:)

Brian, using your knife I just drilled a hole clean through a piece of wood and ran paracord strands through it. It went through the hardwood like it was, well, BUTTER!

This knife is so light yet has so much presence to it. It feels like a piece of mountain man history in your hands - it speaks to me, brother. Awesome work!

that particular knife handle design was meant to be a finger full more than a fistfull if that makes any since :):D

Dang, everytime I see Brian's work, I wonder why I don't have one of his knives yet..

We need to road trip down to Shelby, Brian. Just about 1 hour! :D

It really is a nice looking knife. Nice to hear it is more than capable as well.

I hope I can get in on these pass-arounds.

Not to go off topic or anything, but whereabouts in NC are you? And, are you hanging around long enough to go to the Hillsville, VA gun show at the end of August? :D

Tim, we definitely gotta do a road trip to Brian's.

Lee, not sure yet - I may or may not stay down here. Just taking it a day at a time and deciding...
