The proper way to break in a BK15

as was said two blade shows ago now, nearly 2 years, "best steak knife ever"...

and it's true

i used my new full height grind BK16 at a famous steak house tonite...

stupid thing pushcuts right through steak. awesome.

I spent three years working at a boutique meat shop, and fell in love with upswept blades for slicing and trimming meat. I was considering adding the 15 to my next Tomar's order, and I think this thread pretty much sealed the deal. My gf will probably end up stealing the knife for work more than I use it though...

Well, no pic (I know, I'll be driven out of town), but the BK15 trimmed up 10 beef tenderloins without losing a bit of it's edge. Awesome knife, I'm keeping it around for good.

BK15 + Backstraps= WINNING!

I also approve of this thread and I'm pulling some Whitetail out of the freezer tonight. Mmmmm..

Eli

Maybe my head is screwed up but when I first looked at that picture, I actually threw up in my mouth...

I think the 15 is perfect for this. Last fall E used my BK5 to cut the steaks. There were several using 5's to cut the meal and with a prototype tweener floating around there were several comments about how it would be perfect on steaks. Guess we were right.
