The Protagonist and the Forager

It's only wishful thinking at the moment Brian [emoji3]

BTW This post had a full 45 second delay [emoji15]

Lol, I know that feeling.

Yes, I have had the same experience for the last three days. Should make things interesting later today...but if everyone experiences the same delay, it shouldn't really change any outcomes.

Once again, just as every other design these are flawless too 👍

I have been waiting on that Protagonist for years. I knew if I waited long enough, that Andy would one day make a knife that suited the other half of my personality :)

The more I look at the Forager, the more I think about all the times I have chopped my way through briers and scrub to get to various berries and fruits growing in tree lines and edges of clearings, and the more the name really fits it.

the more i look at it, i think the sagital crest might be useful for some sort of foraging

I was thinking the same thing, like in cracking coconuts, or ostrich eggs or the like. Just make sure you have good aim or just keep holding your own beer :)

The handle also looks like it would be comfortable in a reverse overhand grip. If the rear of the crest were sharpened could be great for cutting briers and vines like the old issue survival brush hook machetes. I have a folding one of those here I have played with. It work great for cutting small green saplings, vines, and briers, but the tip is a bit specialized. Could be great having that as the back side of a more traditional blade shape for multi-function.

The Forager is a handsome & useful blade design. I see on on the horizon for me.

Was lucky enough to visit the shop and handle both models today. Simply awesome...the handle on the Protagonist is amazingly comfortable. Home runs on both.

I love the handle shape. I also really like the grind on the bolstered one. The only thing I didn't like about it was having to put it back :)
