The "Quest" inter-frame lockback

Not surprised at all at how well it turned out.
Love the integrated guard.
At a glance, I missed not seeing more wood, however after looking a bit I wouldn't change it.
Nice blade shape. Looks great open or closed.

You have come a LONG way fast and show no sign of slowing down.

Put me down for your first auto folder.  ;)

I like it a lot. A "Tactical" version, user-priced, would sell like hotcakes. I would rather have a lockback than any liner lock made for a using knife.

That knife just found its way into the "Art Knives" folder on my computer- while not as flashy as some, there is a sense of total class that pervades it through and through. Well done!

Do you have a crystal ball? how did you know that I have a push button auto in the works.:D

Thanks

That was what I was thinking too. It's a void that is empty.

When I started this endeavor it was to produce something that cut through the middle, but it needs to be re-looked in terms of toughness. It appears evident to me that the pinned lock-back lacks any real lateral strength. I do have a plan to improve that design issue, at the same time I make no claims that I am better than other makers just looking at with a different mind set.

Steven I just saw your post, the next design I have in the works is a mid-lock. In my opinion its very aesthetically pleasing. In terms of inlay lots of option to go in many directions and many levels of finish.

I read something in the other lock back tread about fit and finish, in no way can you get away with poor fit on knives of the nature. If the fit is poor it sticks out like a big stinky turd:eek:

Thanks for the feed back Steven and others

Looks really nice Spencer. You got to visit with and learn from a good one. I just wish I could've got him to build me a belt arm attachment for my surface grinder before he called it quits....
