The quintessential Case

I would say the trapper. Not my favorite pattern, but that is the model I usually see the most. Someone mentioned it would depend heavily on the region. I showed off my peanut to a buddy of mine a couple weeks ago, he said he knew it was a Case before I told him what brand it was. Case has an overall "look" in their fit and finish.

Based on sheer production numbers, I'd say it's the 54 pattern trapper. I think Case has released about a zillion variations on it (give or take ;)) over the decades, and it's always been a standard model in their product line (since the 1920s anyway, according to one vendor's description).

Edit:
Just looking at the trapper selection on one popular vendor's web site, there's a selection of 186 current variations of the 54 trapper. That's just one dealer; doesn't account for all the other SFOs out there, or all of the previous incarnations that are no longer available.

I´m close up to all the opinions on the Trapper. While looking through the catalogue by Case, nearly every kind of handles (synthetic, bone, stag or whatever) have the Trapper in their list.

This would also be my vote.

Kind regards
Andi

I was thinking the yellow Trapper too, dunno why though since guys I know have all kinds of Case patterns.

Case Trapper gets my vote
