The Radio, Electrician, and Lineman's Knife

Here is the Camillus again with a Schrade Cut Co either side. One has unfilled TL-29 stamped into the wood, and the other is undoubtedly an Empire contract knife, on the left.

This is so interesting this Thread- what has really grabbed me is the fact that the quality and high end versions of these Knives that have come out pf the wood work has astounded me- I am amazed.

Charlie, there's no one else who would Know Empire like you do, But what are you seeing in the construction of that Knife that tells you it's an Empire? Its a nice sleek version compared to the other ( very nice ) Knives.

I used to have a couple of Empires, that left with my collection Duncan. The knife above though worn, was identical, including the internal blade lock. The shield is also distinctive. After Empire folded, Schrade used a version of that shield on a couple of special runs of knives, and referred to that shield as the EMPIRE shield!!
Here's a later Schrade Walden electrician's, with a saw!!

Cool you never see very many with a saw!.

Amazing knives Charlie, you don't often see the gold still left in the lettering. That's an amazing shrunken head skull too! LOL!

Dave I've never seen a Schatt electricians either, very nice!!!

Eric

That Schatt and Morgan is still the only one I have ever seen. Great knife to have in your S&M collection, Dave!!

That skull is actually a natural, as-found stone, Eric!

IMG_1950.PNG IMG_1949.PNG Charlie, again you amaze us with some beautiful knives. Would love to have the one with the saw on it, if it's taking up too much space in your collection (actually, any of the ones that you've posted) :)

Me too on the S&M TL. Beautiful knife.

Here's another old Schrade Walden with I believe some Cocobolo scales on it. Etching has Bartlett Mfg. Co. Detroit Michigan which I have researched to believe that it is an arborist company that has been around for over 100 years. There's another Company by the same name that's in to electronic equipment in the Michigan area but best I can tell they've only been around for about a decade.

Gevonovich Gevonovich thnak you, for your reply and great thread. I do have the TL-29?
I think that's a matter of opinion...is it stamped TL-29 as per spec ...well no...is it the same pattern...yes. Does the literature of the time designate it as such? Maybe someone with more authority call offer some thoughts

I like to collect advertising Electrician knives. Most of the advert ones are Colonial.
