I never cared for Priest to many Gay overtones and now that he came out of the closet awhile back I was Right :D

Anyone with a clue that ever went to a Judas Priest concert knew that Rob Halford was gay. I remember almost getting in a fistfight at school because I went to see them and mentioned that to a rabid Priest fan who was pissed off because he didn't get to go to the concert anyway. :D

The dude pranced in a way that Mick Jagger never did, he had his thing going on. Rob went from really long hair in the early to mid 70s and these strange free love silky clothes to looking like he was an extra in Al Pacino's movie "Cruising."

Something was definitely wrong with the picture...from a heterosexual POV. :)

You didn't lose any innocence! The other guys were all straight and they were writing about women and Rob was writing and singing about men, ain't no big thing to me...wait a minute, wrong choice of words! :D

I don't care what he does really. If he has weiners double parked on his back, I could not care less.

Hey - cool heavy metal references. I'm a maiden/black sabbath fan myself. Ozzy's first solo debut albums were darn good too - speak of the devil and bark at the moon notable classics.

Anyhow, I never did get too much into JP. However, the one album (vinyl) from them was Hero Hero. The album pretty much sucked, but I loved the album art. I remember hanging it on my wall. I didn't even know I was a knife freak then. Check this out guys - the cover to the Judas Priest album - Hero Hero:

Yeah, that's Mel Grant that did the cover. I used to love his stuff. I had an old sci-fi book that had a bunch of his illustrations in it. That brings back memories. And FWIW, while the songs off Hero Hero didn't hold a candle to the stuff they did later on, it was still pretty good. Sad Wings of Destiny, anyone?

Mel Grant's stuff is excellent. I must, however, trump your Mel Grant with Frank Frazetta. :D

Black Sabbath? Who mentioned Sabbath? :D Tony, see? I didn't even mention Iommi!

Frank is, of course, the master. He is the godfather of fantasy art. Love his stuff.

Yeah - true enough. That guy on the right is wielding an uncoated RC-6!

EDIT BTW Shotgunner11 - I'd be delighted to hold the honour of RatPack #100 if it isn't already taken!

Yeah, when are we going to get a number assigned? I guess no one is watching the store. We could become shoplifters and choose our own.

Yeah, what's up here? Mrs Shotgunner, can you please call your husband at work and tell him we're all (im)patiently waiting for our numbers:D Surely his boss would understand if he had to leave early? Just look at this thread! Things are starting to come apart here. Heavy metal talk, pics by Frank Frazetta... what's next, animal sacrifice?!

I think I would qualify. I dont like keeping track of things but I think I posted more than 25 times in this forum.

If we're picking a Metal Rock band ........

.... wouldn't RATT be more appropriate? ~;-)

It's all all right!

Sorry guys, I've been helping my brother out with his pest control/lawn care business, his pest control guy who is also his father in law is having some heart issues and I just happen to have my pest control licence.

10 and 12 hour days in the sweltering south Texas heat are seriously cutting into my interweb time.:D

I shant forget my RAT Pack bretheren.

Don't know how many posts I'm at either but if eligible count me in. I've got three RATs so I qualify from the ownership standpoint.

RATT was cheesy but I confess they were one of my favorite bands in the 80s and 90s, heck I still have some of their tracks on my iPod and iPhone! I've still got their albums on vinyl and cd.

80's metal rocked!
