  • Today marks the 24th anniversary of 9/11. I pray that this nation does not forget the loss of lives from this horrible event. Yesterday conservative commentator Charlie Kirk was murdered, and I worry about what is to come. Please love one another and your family in these trying times - Spark

The Raven

Cliff, I left the details of the heat treat up to Paul, I told him the target hardness after cryo and multiple tempering and he did the rest, quite well I might add!

For those of us who are a little behind in the loop, I gather from reading this that Rob is starting a small production shop to make these knives. Is there a link to a thread or website, or could someone post more details about that here? Regarding the Raven, specs, length, cost, etc? Are other knives planned? I'm sure all this info has been posted somewhere and I just missed it, I'd appreciate someone posting a link so I (and others) can get caught up. Thanks.

Oh, and very impressive test results. Definitely sounds like a winner.

As you wish...

These designs look absolutely fantastic from a performance standpoint, IMHO. Well, OK, they look very nice also. :D

Another great thing about Midtech is that this gets more Simonich designed knives out on the market while he's not taking custom orders.

None of my absolute favorite makers are taking orders, I think it's a conspiracy...

Great thread. Awesome knives. Loooks like there is a Simonich knife in my future. Great idea with the MidTech line; mere mortals can now afford a Simonich!
