I forgot to tell this to Kristi and gang at BLADE. Disclaimer: I love the Spyderco Endura!!

The situation: Lunch at daughter's preschool graduation at a park.

One piece two foot long stacked meat sub= $20

Plastic knife to cut said sub= useless

1 inch bladed grandpa's knife remarkably like the one an airport policeman once told me was "All the knife anyone needs"= useless

Hearing your mother ask you for your knife, and then cutting the sub into usable portions with your ever handy, always present Spyderco Endura.........= PRICELESS

LONG LIVE THE ENDURA!!!!

so many folks get wrapped around the axles on the "tactical" aspect of the knife....they forget just how usefull it can be in the simplest terms

Thanks for that little vignette, Messer. It's always nice to hear of a positive experience.

I have an Endura, it was my first Spyderco; I still carry it every day.
It will have been on me for 15 years on 06-09-2008, a few days from now. I am trying to decide if I should retire it and start carrying my ZDP-189 Endura.

LMAO

I have one

Matches for cookout fire= useless

Fire steel= $20

Fatwood= free

Spyderco serial #'d Manix= $149

Being asked why I carry that weapon and explosives(no joke) with me 10 minutes after I light the fire that cooks diner by a old hag= priceless

That happened in Col last week.

The knife that you can always have on you. Can do most things well. I even sleep with it clipped to my boxers.

My SAK, Kershaw Lahar, Mantis Karambit are knives...My Endura is a part of me. Like a bad habit you can't shake off.

I just ordered my dad a zdp-189 E4, I always though millie was as good as it got but I may have to get an E4 for myself. I also ordered my brother a ZT0200 I think that will be pretty sweet too ;)

To me, "tactical" means it's less likely to break.:)
Knives ARE useful tools; that's why they're still around.
My Emerson Bullnose Karambit with wave was a high-speed-deployment steak knife the one night, and some of my folders have been useful barbeque tools.
Nothing slices an orange like the Military!
