The Respirator I can't find

I remember seeing a respirator somewhere here on the forum that was completely different than I had seen before. There was a piece you put in your mouth, and the respirator wrapped around with tubes and the filters hung around your back. I think I saw it on a video, because I remember the guy showing how it was put on. You then wore a nose clip to insure that you breathed completely through your mouth. If anyone can point me in the right direction, it seems like it would eliminate the seal around the face problem, and would keep my glasses from fogging up from the small bits of air escaping around my nose.

I have been looking into these also. I always have a beard or a big goatee and a regular respirator just doesn't seal that great. I have had facial hair forever so shaving clean isn't really an option. If you end up getting one Matt let us know how it works for you.

Matt, it IS! the way to go.
You can even wear a welding helmet, it doesn't matter if you have facial hair, you can think of a countless number of ways this thing works.
I wear it regularly and feel quite confident I'm dong the right thing.
I'm glad to know you're getting one.

I noticed with my other respirator that at the end of the day I would have black marks around the edges of my nose where some dust was sneaking in. I am also not too consistant with shaving, so depending on the day the seal can differ. I liked this idea, I am glad it is worth it Karl, I hate spending money on things that I don't use so it is good to know that it is a good design.

I bought one and used it once so far, I found that it made for a soggy coat. I'm always looking down while grinding and the drool just tends to fall right down the front of me, whether I hold the mouth bit between my lips or teeth.. perhaps it's just me, but it's something to think about. Otherwise I think it's a great idea, and as a filter it works very well.

Man, that thing looks lightweight. I'm going to give it a shot too.

It is very light, you really don't know it's there after a few minutes (aside from me having a drooling problem).
