the return of "What do you think"

Heck, I think it looked great either way, but gotta go against the flow and say I liked the S guard better. Maybe just because I don't see enough of 'em as nicely done as that one.
 
I think you've got to much free time on your hands if all you have to do play musical guards. They both look great, I personally thing the S guard gives it more uniqueness and thats what I like. But again both are very nice, now get to work on a different knife you slacker. :D :D

Looking good Robert, I like the oval gaurd better. The S gaurd looks good, but I think it needs a differant blade shape to compliment it.
 
Ummmmm.....you just convinced me o stop screwing around trying to make an S-guard for the bowie that I am working on and go with an oval guard with ferrule...:D
 
I think the S guard would have looked better for this knife if it didn't have balls. I've got a san mia saw steel blade thats about 1" longer than this blade. Its narrower and straighter and the hand me down S guard fits like a new pair of britches. I guess when I get the urge to finish it off its next in line.
