The return to SNARKdom

I only have 1x 24 and it's currently sitting in a pink digi-camo sheath with black handles... But yeah I dunno where I was gonna go with that comment but there it is.

Psyop, sorry about your buddy's dad. Funerals are always hard but it looks like you at least got a good lesson out of it.

GSOM, that's wild! I think the latest I've seen snow was June but that was totally a freak incident.

Woody, which one did you end up getting? Did you get the one I suggested?

AC you do any fishing lately? Catch anything?

Hoss, that sucks. But you only were off for a week weren't you?

Well, multi quote won't work on my phone right now so.......

Tanglediver, I found it. It's called "Vietnam, Our Story One On One".

WW, looks like you had a good day. I can't wait to get our little boat out.

Cbear, I got out Friday and caught 2. One of them was my personal best. I already posted the pic on Friday, but here it is again. :)

Is that a wall-eye? My brother has been talking about wanting to catch 1) walleye, 2) pike, 3) snook (?). I personally am not a huge fan of "fishing" but I enjoy the time on the water, drinking, and bs'ing so I go along with him whenever I get the chance.

Yup it's a walleye. Pike are fun to catch......they have a lot of fight in them. Snook are a fish. We don't have them around here, but I'm sure Lake Michigan has them. It also produces some monster walleye.

I'll be honest, I really don't recognize fish by what they look like. I can spot a blue gill, if it's on my hook, and I am in the lake behind his parent's house, but then it's a toss up between a crappie or a small mouth, and I have to ask.

I been looking for a storage solution for my knives cause what I got going right now "works" but not really.

Currently the drawer is layered 3 layers deep, with the big knives on the bottom:

My midsized above that (think tweeners/Esee 3/4/Laser Strike)

Then on top goes the smaller/and EDC knives I cycle through

However I do believe I found the solution. The Milwaukee 46" 8 drawer storage chest.

It's even got the plug inside so I can plug in a magnified light to check my edges and my worksharp! And peg board so I can hang my belts in there! All I would need to do is get a piece of wood to put down inside the top part and drill it so I can put my post for my KME on the other side opposite the worksharp and I would be GOLDEN!

I'm in the same boat Cbear. The whole top shelf of my gun case is knives. It's a big unorganized mess. Ive been thinking about a bigger safe or maybe another smaller one just for knives and a couple guns that I would bolt down in my closet.

Well, this box ain't going anywhere, it's 185lbs on it's own, and it will hold 100lbs per drawer, so I don't think anyone would move it. Try to break into it, is more likely. However I am hoping to have to measure to see if it will fit where I hope it will!

My current living situation, I'm not allowed guns. Which honestly is for the best, however it means I don't have a gun safe to store stuff in. :(

Got the Bass Hunter EX

I went to a funeral. A Marine buddies dad died he was a WW2 Pacific theater medic not many of them left.....Sad but I took the boys and told them about heroes.

Thank you for taking the time to teach your kids about heroes. Wish it would have been under better circumstances though.

Is there a vip pass gaw posted yet?

I haven't seen one yet.

I had to run to Wally world for some distilled water this morning and I was hungry, so I grabbed a package of 80/20 patties (not the frozen stuff) and some thick cut bacon. I fried up some bacon and then cooked the burger in my cast iron pan and used a bit of reserved bacon grease in the pan. It was pretty darn tasty topped with lettuce, tomato, and onion.

Sitting with my mom in the hospital following shoulder replacement surgery.

Conclusion of the morning - getting old sucks.

I'm sure you will really like it.

I bought the Husky version of this a year and a half ago and posted here about it: http://www.bladeforums.com/forums/showthread.php/1258001-New-home-for-my-Beckers-et-al

It has worked great for me. Now I wish I had gone bigger. Outta room. All drawers are filled with knives outside of sheaths and sheaths are all stored in another tool box. Now I need to go and get the base. BK20 on the way and there isn't any room left in the inn.

You guys and your knife talk. I'm so impressionable.

I caught 4 today. But they were all small and went back into the water. I was using live night crawlers. Curt did better, caught 7 or 8, 5 or so were nice but we threw them back too.. He was using a beetle spin.

I didn't catch crap with the beetle spin LOL

My excuse, i was busy playing with, AKA driving, the boat... But really he just had a better day.

WW: I've fished a lot out of a bassbuster like yours and you'll get a lot of years of great fishing out of it. In a creek or channel like you are fishing, unless you do some backtrolling the guy in front will probably always catch more. He's got time to hit all the good spots before you can get to 'em. Good news is that if you tighten the nut on the trolling motor so it doesn't move side to side very easily, you can backtroll without having to use your hands too much and whoop his butt from time to time. haha. Hope you enjoy it and get a lot of years of use out of it.

Thanks bro!

I'm going to try the troller on the front soon and see how that works... Most of the reviews i read says it works better on the front and that would put me up front... Catching them fish first LoL

Also, about the kayak I was searching for... Mom knows a guy at her work who does kayak rentals and he's looking to see if he can find me a good one used that I can buy for cheap. She said he'll probably give me a pretty good deal on one.
