I need a suggestion for a first boy scout knife for my 12 year old who is just starting in Scouts. He doesn't have his chip (?) yet, but I'd like to be ready when he gets it. Suggestions?

I'd give him a 9 because, well, you know... But I heard they have to be folders.

Here is my fury animal.. He is an A-hole. 0ver $150 in wood and paint plus a day of work building his new house... Yet he plays underneath it... And only goes in if i throw his ball in there... Then he jumps right back out..

Ungrateful... Just like kids lmao

Insurance companies are a pain in the rear and make no sense. Misti has been on injections 3x a week since late summer and they are doing their job, but she keeps having injection site reactions. We went and saw her neurologist a few weeks ago to talk about a change in meds and decided on a once daily pill. They put the order for new meds through the insurance company and they denied it and wanted her to try a cheaper drug. It make no sense because the original drug she was on was $30,000/month and the new one is only $5,000/month, so its saving them a crapton of $$ and is the better option on the few meds we had a choice of. Now we decided on another drug and they are sending it through insurance again, so hopefully this one gets approved.

wow. wow. wow.

case makes a bunch of BSA branded knives, as well as a classic scout pattern, or the victorinox pioneer is the same as the old BSA pattern as well

nope, in fact BSA recently rewrote the books relating to knoves. fixed are once again allowed in scouts as long as you comply with all state laws

well, in theory, i can :D

problematic, ain't it?

You can take the snark thread, the snark will still be inside me, ready to be spread to wherever allows it.

Comepletely off-topic side note, neo-classical melodic death metal (specifically THIS) is simultaneously relaxing and stimulating. Kinda like mixing downers and uppers. Not sure if safe, but certainly fun.

Engines are weird like that. The 4 cyl should use less gas but sometimes they just aren't enough and end up outside their ideal powerband. The V6 isn't working as hard doing the same job so it can stay in the ideal RPM range. And then the stock exhaust is mostly designed to keep the truck quiet rather than help the engine be as efficient as possible. Same with the intake, there's usually some sound muffling effect to that as well and doesn't flow as well as it could.

That makes sense to me ...
So your saying i need to do the intake next? ....well i don't want to disappoint you so I'll start looking into it!

Looks like Nuto started another GAW thread.... I like his approach... I'm thinking of starting several too... The winner will be the first person who realizes I'm not actually giving away anything. :D

Slice, what did you use to put those numbers on your 14 in the 2nd Krew GAW in the KABAR forum?

I used PCB etching acid from radio shack. I'm gonna try electro etch on the signature on the 17, I think it will work faster.

That makes sense to me ...

You mean you didn't yet? Then yes. Do that next. Make sure it draws air from outside the engine compartment and is sealed off from the rest of the engine bay.

I'm pretty sure most Toyota's pretty much have a cold air intake. I know my Tundra has one that draws from the fender. Lots of intake kits for them, but they don't make much of a difference if any. The biggest change is hearing more noise from the intake.

All vehicles for several decades came with a cold air intake that's sealed off from the engine bay. However they usually have some sort of muffling to reduce noise which can restrict flow. Maybe not in all cases, maybe not in most cases in the last few years, but there are vehicles that came that way from the factory.

WW, do your own research, check a Toyota forum and ask around. I don't keep tabs on late-model stuff because it doesn't interest me much.

I once puked and pooped at the same time. Too much booze and Taco Johns was the combination. Won't do that again.

Have you done the sneeze/poop yet? That was a very awkward experience. I did the puke/poop before. It was not a taco johns experience though, and there was no alcohol involved. I had food poisoning. The worst is when you have to decide do you drop a deuce in the tub cause you've been puking in the toilet, or do you keep puking in the toilet and drop the kids in the pants, or what do you do?!
