The riddle of steel

Man, how strange it is that this thread was raised from the dead. The OP, Shawn B., passed away some time ago. RIP brother.
 
The meat of it, as it comes across in the film anyhow, is that the sword is only as good as the man behind it. Remember. Conan broke his own father's sword when he faced Doom's men. The sword was forged prior to Conan's village being raided, and the sword was stolen in the raid. Many years later when Conan goes looking for the Snake cult, the barbarian still has the stolen sword.
 
I thought titanium (and its brothers and sisters) was the one with the riddle? :confused:
 
One of my favorite movies growing up. I forget now, whose sword does Conan find/shake the dust off in that cavern he tumbled into?
 
The second sword he gets is from a long gone race I believe I read somewhere. They might be giants (haha) because look at the helmet next time, it's huge.
