The Right Knife for the Job...

Thanks for the great feedback everybody...

That Junglas looks ugly, but it earned those looks. It is well cared for and rust free, but with the coating off, it takes on a whole new "user" look that I just love. One day my 4 will get the same treatment after the coating wears, although it doesn't get abused like my Junglas did for fun, so it might be a while. The Izula just looks great naked.

I'll definitely be getting more ESEE's, but honestly it's not because I need them. I've got all my bases covered with those three up there...

Thanks again for reading everyone.

I'm not too sure if I'd get a lot of use from the Junglas. It looks so huge next to the 4, which I think is a great compromise between small and big......the perfect medium. I haven't received the 5 or 6 yet for comparisons, but I'll let you know when I do.

It's really one of those things you just need to handle, the junglas that is. It's intoxicating to say the least, but then again that might be from sniffing it, it smells like playdoh.

In the bush, I find the 6 is my preferred blade. I have a preference of larger blades, but seeing that weight is of course an issue, I find that the 6 is an excellent compromise between the Junglas and the 4, while maintaining reasonable chopping mass and blade length.

man, that junglas just looks soooo sexy. i keep thinking i wanna make love to it, but i imagine that wouldn't go well for me and it's just weird. so... sorry. :o

you almost swayed me away from the 5 to the 4, but i think i'll end up with the same configuration, except with a 5. maybe someday i'll end up with the 4 as well. your post is very convincing. :)

thanks again for this post.

JGON,

Great post bro! I think it is quite practically sticky worthy. Thanks for sharing some good sense with us.

God bless,
Adam

Each of us have our own needs. The knife that works best for you might not work best for me. A lot of real factors come into play, but it can also just be a matter of preference. Each knife in the ESEE lineup is useful in their own right, but it is a subjective topic.

The great thing is that whichever ESEE knife you choose, you're right...
