the Roadie to hell is paved with good intentions

The Roadie fills the need for a certain type of knife in many parts of the world. It's socially acceptable, politically correct, non-locking (some countries do not allow locking knives), not intimidating, easy to carry and easy to use. Think of it as a portable edge, with an edge protector that is also the handle.
These are big issues in the UK, and maybe even more in Scotland. There's a lot of publicity about knife crime, and a sort of suggestion that carrying a knife is wrong or threatening in it's own right. Legally we're squeezed between two sets of legislation. One prohibits carrying any sort of knife without what the law calls "good reason", except for a folding knife. In a bizarre ruling the Courts have decided that locking knives don't count as "folding knives". The other side of the coin is that even a compliant folding knife might be found to be an "offensive weapon" depending on the circumstances, so there's definitely a market for knives that look innocuous (like the Roadie) as well as those like the UK Penknife that are pretty much designed to give you as much knife as possible within the definition. I think I'd choose red.
