*First impressions:
- The blade is indeed hollow ground, saber.
- Pictures have shown the blade to look polished/stainless but it has a matte gray/satin finish. Its attractive.
- Compared to my Sage 3 and Yojimbo2, it's really not all that bulky or odd in pocket. The handle is slim and slightly curved which gives the appearance of being overly meaty. Its slim profile helps here too.
- It's got some weight to it, feels solid.
- Walker liner lock is perfect as usual.
- Fit and finish is standard Spyderco, no problems at all.

Thanks for clearing up some of the confusion and for posting some pics. Any chance you could post some in hand shots? What do you plan to use the knife for?

I'll just slip it in to the edc rotation.
Basic utility tasks like cutting tape, boxes, plastic packaging, some light food cutting at work maybe.

In hand pics forthcoming.

The curves look very nice on it, nice shot of it in your hand. Looking forward to getting mine, supposed to be here Monday!

Would grab if the budget allowed, too many IMO more useful blades from Spyderco forthcoming. More of a curio piece

I agree as far as the design being a curio..but I'm a sucker for wharnies, sheepies and anything cleaverish. I'd been waiting for the Roc since the 2015 catalog came out.

Love it, I'll get one soon!

Like the Yojimbo, a box cutter on steroids.....no one would argue that a box cutter makes a good useful utility blade.

I'm eager to hear more real world experience with it. Doesn't seem to be a knife that would lend itself for the day to day such as cutting boxes or opening letters or food prep - except for chopping veggies (light chopping). I'm thinking more that the ROC would be more of a gardener's tool than a carpenter's.

I like it and have been interested since 1st seeing the prototype photos but would like to hear more from users. I thank you pioneers :)

Looks really good and I am not "that guy" but I have one ?, choil? It looks like this would be a good candidate with that blade shape.

Theres a fair amount of space between the blade and the handle when it's open. Coupled with the slight curve of the handle it feels secure in your hand.

Well I got mine today and I really like it. I'm going to carry it tomorrow and see how it feels.

Here are some pics next to one of my delica's and a couple of pictures of the kwaiken I got from Serge a few years back.
