The Saturday and Sunday Picture Show... (10-3-4-2020) ... (OLD Show Look at the DATE...)

I had posted this after I bought it a few months ago, but it's worth posting again. Buck 119 Brahma. I found this on Murdoch's website and sat on it awhile before ordering. So glad I ended up pulling the trigger as it seems like they are very hard to come by these days.

great knife. i gave mine away to a pal in England years ago, wish I had grabbed another before they disappeared.

Thanks ITE for the enlarged version of the SPS. Thanks to all who post and comment in the thread.
I have this one, abused, 106, that was gifted to me...a situation that needs to change. I need to find an early 106 that goes with the 100 phenolic, brass and aluminum. One, like the one, lower left, in Haebbie's post #6 in this thread.:D

Hi All, hope everyone is having a great weekend!

So I'm sure everyone has heard of the artist Frederick Remington. He did western era drawing, painting, and bronze statues. Here is one of his drawings of a Mountain Man called "A White Trapper", it was done for the Harpers Ferry magazine in the late 1800s.

Now you are asking why are you posting that on the SSPS? Well Buck did a gold etch of a Mountain Man that is one of my favorites that they ever did on a custom Buck knife. That gold etch appears to be a copy of the Remington print, now I like it even more. The first time I saw this it was on a 103, Armand has one of the blades very cool. Then I saw it on a custom 905 Bowie sold on ebay years ago (still haunted by that knife).

Well sometime back our own SteelheadBully Mike, put up some photos of a custom 916 Bowie with that Mountain Man gold etch. Mike was nice enough to make a trade with me and now I have one of the Remington gold etch knives.

Then not long ago our own Dogpound77 Craig came up with a 919 Apache Bowie with the Remigton gold etch. Craig was nice enough to allow me to be the next caretaker for this fantastic custom Buck knife. It is also my first 919 Apache Bowie.
