Blade Length: 4.5”

Total weight with sheath: 10.5 ounces

I decided to take a lot of photos of the making of this piece, should give a little more understand as to what goes into forging a knife - for more pictures, including in hand shots click here for my blog post. Price is $280 insured and shipped domestically. I've got in-laws in town at the moment so I'm not going to be as close to the computer for checking private messages. I posted the blade at my website http://underhillforge.com/?product=the-saxon-hunter - Price on the site is listed as $270 but will add $10 at checkout. Paypal and credit cards accepted.

Dude, I almost want to pay the $280 just to get my hands on that sheath! I'll have to check out your blog...I'm not smart enough to understand, just by looking at the pics, how exactly you constructed the handle....however you did it, it looks damn good man.

Thank you! I don't really consider myself much of a leather worker, but I wholeheartedly feel that my sheaths should have character to match the knife it's intended for and I just kind of let my imagination wander. A big thing for me though is that I either do what I call a "pocket" sheath, ie no belt loop - because I constantly throw a knife into my back pocket out of convenience or, because I also hate trying to choose how the client is going to wear it, I make a frog with a loop which eliminates that by making it a simple matter of pulling the pocket sheath out and turning it around.
