LOL!Amazing.
Lol - I thought I would get done dirt if reaction in dating Jack to count them.
I haven’t mine - for the very reasons stated
I remember once I had a a couple of friends who are very close ask to see all my knives.
I kinda warned them - but I did, well their faces!!! and then the questions come ( and my Wife is in the room) like “ how much did this one cost..”
So I began telling them - “ oh I got that for a real good price - this one I got for $400 - and it’s worth….$…”
They said “ what NZ$ ? I said “ Oh no it’s always usually US $ ( so near double the price in NZ$ …
My Wife picks up on this and said “ how much did that cost ?”
I laughed and “ ok price discussion is off the discussion” then you see them trying to count the knives up so they can get some idea
At times I wonder just what am I doing and what am I going to do?
So Jack will be in a much more worse position than me !!

Indeed Bob!Ah, the roads we have traveled and the pointy things we have collected. What an eclectic brace of knives and history Jack.![]()
Thanks David, I'll have to find an excuse to show my razors one day. I don't actively collect them, but I'll pick them up if they're in good shape, and the price is rightLike the tinies and straight razors. I really like the bigger Wade and Butcher straight razors.
You mean you used to buy MORE?!A few years ago I was buying so many old tools and knives my mother asked me if I was going to start a museum?![]()
Good question Jackare those silver spoons mate?!
Good question Jack

Let's have a look! What's that, an assay mark? Such devices have certainly fooled plenty of punters, and more than a few market traders, but what are the letters? E. P. N. S. Taken together, that's Electroplated Nickel Silver, sadlySorry mate

Really like the Wade Butchers wedge razors. Thanks David, I'll have to find an excuse to show my razors one day. I don't actively collect them, but I'll pick them up if they're in good shape, and the price is right![]()
Yes, I dont buy old tools like I once did. Sure havent slowed down on the knives. You mean you used to buy MORE?!I definitely buy less than I was buying a few years back, mainly because I visit fewer markets and antique shops

LOL!I have always loved Jacks Table discussions, If another War broke out and the carts came around again for all households metal to donate towards the war- all the neighbours would just stand outside and point to Jacks house - England's Metal problem solved immediately!
