The sharpest object ever made???

There is a short article in this month's Popular Science where somebody was making a microscopic needle for an electron microscope, goofed up, let nitrogen into the environment, and that somehow bumped off some atoms off the tip and accidently created the "sharpest" needle ever created. I guess it was just one atom across at the tip.
 
I wouldn't mind getting this year's flu shot with that tungsten needle Hearhart points out. I bet you'd never feel it.

I was under the impression that obsidian edge blades were the sharpest and that some plastic surgeons like to use them as they were so fine, though very fragile.

I would also think that a microtome blade is quite sharp.
