The Sharpnening CDs are ready to go - come and get 'em

By the way, if for any reason anyone doesn't like the CD - I'll gladly refund the $5. Or if you get the CD and for some reason it doesn't work = $5 refund (or replacement, if desired).

I'm headed out to get another spindle of CDs tomorrow, so email away. I'm anxious to get this monkey off my back.

Chimed in on your thread on other board a few days ago, but I guess I should here too. I'm in. WIll send out email when I get back from bike ride, and mail should hopefully go out tomorrow or tuesday

I have sent out a bunch already. If I have not replied to your email, I apologize. If you don't get one in the next few days, just email me and I'll make sure you get it.

I want to hurry up and finish this up - so I can get going on other things, so put in your order a.s.a.p. I want to be done tomorrow.

Thanks, guys for supporting the cause.

The last of the villagers will fly tomorrow as well. :D

Nobody send anymore villagers, please....

:p

Pen - I got the CD today. Thanks! I haven't had a chance to look at it yet.

I was going to send a villager.
Her name is Cindy. I was gonna send her greyhound but I guess I'm too late!
Sigh...
:)
Got the cd today. Hope you got my money as quick :)
Think I'll keep Cindy for a while. She cooks and cleans much better than I .

Thanks for understanding guys. I'm kinda burned-out right now. I'm hoping that with the CD you'll be able to do a lot of the refinishing on your own. That said, I always answer questions.

Anybody who got theirs feel they didn't get their $5 worth? I'll gladly refund it.

I felt I had to charge something for this one - couldn't afford to shell it out for free. Hope you at least enjoy it, even though it probably seems too "basic".

Which reminds me...I'm sure I left out a bunch of stuff, or even forgot to clarify or explain things better.

If anybody has a question, feel free to ask. As stated above, I always answer.

Thanks for the support guys.

Uncle - package on its way. ;)

The last villagers have all been packed up and are ready to go out tomorrow morning. I did some heavy testing on most and can't remember if I resharpened anything. Either way, I included a CD so you should be able to put the edge back on if for some reason it's not shaving sharp when you get it.

Thanks for your trust, guys! It's been a fun ride!

:D

Thanks Dan, I know it'll be worth the wait. And it's only eight more weeks till jerky season is upon us again!

Just got the CD and took a brief look at everything. Very well done. So that's what you mean by a strop - I'll be making one of those things tomorrow!

I just got the CD! It may be "basic" but it explained to me (or rather gave me confidence in) the little things that text doesn't get across. Like how long to keep the blade on a sanding belt in between cooling dips, and as cliff355 said, how you're stropping it. I'm glad to see this, as I am absolutely terrible with the loose, hanging strop (barber shop) method. :)

One quick question: On that sanding block you're working with, what is the material attached to it? There's kind of a soft green substance with (I assume) sandpaper on the outside. Or is it leather with rouge?

Thanks Dan :)

Thanks for all your hard work Dan! My villager is lounging at the PO and I can hardly stand to wait until tomorrow AM to pick it up.

I picked up my villager just now, and it is truly transformed. Great blade and edge, beautiful handle. The sharpening CD is also excellent, and has cleared up alot of things for me. One example is technique for the strop, I had been taking the knife to the strop, while taking the strop to the knife means a better change of gettting it right.

Pendentive has done me and the HI community a great service by his educational effort. Thanks a lot Dan!!

Bruise,

The only stuff on your CD is yours.

The others have all the goodies from the other khuks - although the typed part of yours is the longest of them all. ;)

I'll send you a new one if you like.

Dan

Gasp.

I'll have to go panhandling this evening.

Any extra $$$ for shipment outta da US?

Or if you're still burned out I could order one from Uncle Bill on my next khuk order.

oops. forgot about that.

Yeah, the others have been around $2.50 for international shipping.

1 to Japan, 1 to France and 1 to Canada so far...

But you don't owe me anything, Bruise.

I'll just drop it in the mail.
