I was relaxing in my recliner when I pulled out the new green Alox cadet to clean something out of my fingernail and for some reason I set it on my lap instead of putting it back In my pocket.
Next thing I knew I heard it fall down into my chair.
It fell down into the tracks and had it not been for the lanyard pull dangling down I would probably not have known it was there till I severely mangled the ends up trying to operate my chair.

I had my chair on it's back to get the cadet unstuck and that's when I noticed a hint of polished steel with a brass line along it.
I instantly thought of the slimline trapper I lost in March but thought it was too good to be true.

I'm so glad I decided to explore further, because I must've had this chair tipped and shaken a dozen times when I lost this knife and was positive it wasn't in my chair.

Oh that beauty would really have been worse off.
Luckily mine only had a little brass corrosion on the liners that was easy to remedy.
I'm sure glad I found this one because I really like it but not quite enough to buy again, it also happens to be a perfect example and I've seen some that didn't open perfectly square to the backspring.

Well not sure, it is D2 and the ACSB is tough stuff too.

Depends what else goes down the chair...;):D

I know the feeling.
I lost my 77 barlow but did not realized it until a couple days later.
I panicked when I could not find it.
My wife told me to take a deep breath and relax lol, then she went to the couch and started digging in all around the sides of the cushion.... a few seconds later she pulled it out... she is the best thing that ever happened to me :D

It's always in the last place you look.

Here the recliner was the first place I looked, and looked , and looked, and looked, and looked...ect.
I looked probably a dozen times, but it was just inside my chair in a way I couldn't see it or hear it when I shook the dickens out of it.
somehow out of the corner of my eye I caught a glint of it peeking through a gap in the chair while retrieving my cadet, and I think I had to be looking exactly where my cadet was in order to see it.
