The smallest anvil and hammer combination for a 4" traditional Scandinavian blade

Hi..I found this little 4x4 anvil for you. looks like a great little piece for starting out.

That's to nice. :) I'm on the wrong side of the pound thou. I decided to go for a two step solution. I know there is a 1.5 foot piece of rail-road track at work laying around. I will try to get my hands on that and go with the milling hammer. If I get bitten hard by the black-smith bug I will by a proper pre-used 100+ pound Swedish anvil.

You will.I have found forging to be very enjoyable

Mine looks like that, except it's a 80lbs 6x6x8". I bought this chunk-of-column from an industrial welding shop for less than $1/lb.
