The Smarts Behind The Stupidity

Wow! That is a crazy long hike! I didn't get to read the whole thread but damn! I would need to take some baby steps first. The longest I have ever done was Half Dome and Henry Coe State Park that nearly killed me.:o

Hmm.

I last did that hike when I was 18. Been a while since then ... ;)

I've only got one Ban knife ... but it's definitely one of my favorites. That edge has survived the years for me, as well -- just the occasional leather stropping is all I've ever needed.

Whoa that PCT hike looks intense, props to whoever completed it!! A few friends of mine did a similar trek, but on dual sport motorcycles. They avoided as much tarmac as they could and kept to the dirt trails whenever possible. I'll try and find the pictures, but it looked like a blast!

Dang OP you did that hike when you were 18...impressive. How long did it take you?

I honestly don't recall anymore. I wasn't alone ... there were about 5 of us. All football players and in seriously good shape.

I should fully disclose that #5 (or was it #6) was a 30 year old Marine. That guy was 'scary fit.' He had done this hike before and was our lead.

Those were good days.:)
