Once you get it and figure out a place for it id love to see a picture.... regardless if its on your keychain, in a fire kit, in a tool-box, sock drawer whatever... I just like seeing photos of my "children" in their new homes :D

Thanks man!! Could have been worse for sure! Im very happy it didnt go through my kids window and that my wife wasnt in the bed when it happened.


An interesting fact... The slug was just inches away from my favorite knives.... In fact, if the slug would have kept going in the direction and angle it was going it would of hit the blade of my Comp Cutter. :eek:
 
are you going to collect damages?

it would be reasonable to get a quote for professional cleaning, as well as repair of anything damaged, etc...

See me and the wife have been wondering about this... Would we have to go to court and fight for that? Who would we collect damages from? The guy that fired the shot? Hell the 2 men that were arrested dont have a wooden nickel between the both of em...

I doubt they'd pay out for the stuffed animal LOL, the cleaning me and the wife already did.. The owner of my house also owns the neighbors house and they are going to put a new window in on Monday...So it would come down to the knife case... which cost ~250... It might turn out to be a lot of court/paperwork and then waiting forever to start collecting monthly checks of 5 bucks or some crap and thats not worth picking up the phone to get it started LOL

The owner should kick them out for real, that would make me happier than the 250 and time cleaning... they are the worse house on the block. always fighting, screaming, partying in the middle of the week at 3am ect... Having them gone while im stuck here for another few months would be worth more than 250 to me thats for certain.

If you have renter's insurance, you might be covered. If not, you're pretty much screwed.

Like you said, who ya gonna sue, the moron that fired the shot? I doubt that he has a stash of cash, or liability coverage for slingin' lead around. If you ask nicely, the DA might use the damage to put an extra charge on him for plea-bargaining purposes and get you a judgement against him.... but good luck collecting on that.

I could probably get past the weight and size but the handle feels like it was made for thrusting and doesn't quite feel right in my hand. Oh well, it's still unused other than some handling and I have all the packaging that came with it so I ought to be able to at least exchange it.

Exactly.

Many moons ago, before the army and all.. I was in the wrong neighborhood... Ended up getting jumped by 4 guys and that landed me in the hospital with broken and bruised ribs, broken nose, hair kicked off my head, internal bleeding... It was bad.... After they stomped on my face and i was unconscious they started beating on my car... jumping on the hood, kicking in the doors and all....

When i woke up in the hospital police were there taking pictures of me, my clothes were covered in blood, mostly mine, and were confiscated as evidence. They did charge the guys with the damage to my car as well and i was suppose to eventually receive a compensation check... Years passed and i never seen a cent.
