Here is the little knife I made for myself. I really like smaller knives for EDC and wanted to make one that was like a slipjoint.
1/8" Aldos 1095 FFG
3 1/2" handle, 2 1/2" blade
Antique finish
Not sure what scales these are. Ive had them for awhile, they were given to me by the guy I get my Australian Burls from. I think they are either Black Ash or White top burl.

Very nice! That's a great size for an EDC. I like carrying a small fixed blade, too, but usually end up with a folder anyway.

Ahhh, someone's got the day off & is messing around in the shop . . . . :)
That sunlight and those scales really set that blade off and match the sheath pretty darn good as well. Chris, how does that 3 1/2" handle fit your hands & someone with "overly" large hands? I already think that would make a perfect companion to the "pink" one in the kitchen area of a "local eatery" . . . . :D
Take care buddy, enjoy your day . . . .
Be safe.

Fits pretty good Bill. I have XL glove hands and I can get 4 fingers on it. I made the handle about 6/8" thick so it gives you more to hold onto.

These size knives have captured my attention lately too.

Fantastic idea -- a fixed-blade homage to the original folder -- well executed. Quite a beefy handle.

Sooo, now that you have knife making down, you want to be a farmer eh Chris? ;)
That little beauty looks stout enough to bust sod.Just looking at the pics & not the specs I thought it was 5/32 or 3/16 stock.

Thanks guys! Yeah, I made this one for me so I made the handle thicker than I would on somebody that ordered one. I just dont like flat handles and its hard to get a good curve on thin scales. This one was alot of fun to do and went really quick due to the size. I think Im going to do a couple more after my favorite slipjoints, Barlow, Jack, Swayback. Minus heat treat I could probably due five or so of these in my two days off.

Bill, I carry one of Chris' first EDC's everyday. It has a handle about 3 1/4", I use it with no problem. My hand's are about
the same size as Chris', XL glove size.

I really like the handle shape and the scales are awesome, A nice package overall.
Nice work Chris!!!!

Chris, I was curious as to why the second pin in the handle is so high?
