The "Sodbuster"

I'm really digging this design as well. I lean toward these slimmer blades for EDC and small game hunting/trapping. This one would be right at home in my stretch of Oklahoma woods!

I did the pin placement to match a slipjoint. I actually screwed up this one. I was going to put an 1/8" pin in the top but after handling I noticed I didn't have any pins of that size left. Instead of waiting for the pins I redrilled it for a larger pin size that I had on hand. Its too big really but its mine and I don't really care.

When I finish up these last four orders for the month Im going to do a Barlow with some interesting handle materials. Since most Barlows have a long bolster I think Im going to do a solid color micarta bolster with wood scale. Im also thinking about doing copper liners with copper pins and tube if I can find some. It probably won't get finished until next month but I think it will look awesome!

Knew it the whole time actually. Just seeing if anyone else was paying attention. ;) :D

That sounds awesome Chris!

Here's a thought for the Barlow. Copper bolster and pins. Black liner with burlap micarta scales!

You know Donald, I was thinking copper bolster but I don't know if I can find any thick enough. Ill have to look around and see whats out there.

you should warn people when you post something like that :) good thing I wasn't drinking anything or my puter screen would be hammered...

I actually like the high pin, make it your own bro.... (well you already did :) ) who cares about symmetry anyway.. .???

I have some 19 strand copper power cable - you could heat it up and add silver solder then hammer down to shape for a fun pattern.
