Like myself, I know you've hit your attachment limit but feel free to share some of your oldies.
I frequently do, we can never have too many knife pictures.
Us old folks wouldn't remember and the new folks would be seeing them for the first time anyways.
I haven't reached my attachment limit, however 83% of my allowed image quota is locked in "Sunday Picture Show" threads.

Why is it necessary to always lock these threads?
Even the old ones....?

Is everyone that posts here aware that when uploading directly from their phone, that all image data posted here will be lost to them because these threads are locked?

It’s a problem they are aware of and working on. They get locked because people would resurrect and old one and people would post thinking it was the new one. So locking them made sense it seemed.

Short term, I get it.
But I don't understand why 1 or 2 year old threads still need to be locked.

There's hundreds of locked SPS threads......
I doubt I'm the only person unwilling to contribute anymore to these threads when they always get locked.
Taking my image quota with them.

The old threads are locked, because forum vets get angry when noobs resurrect old posts. When I started here, this was wierd to me because other forums I have been part of get angry when there are several threads on the same subject. I noticed that here, the membership would generally like you to start new threads. I see advantages to both ways. Either way, it's not Roger's fault that this happened, or quite frankly, anyone here in the Buck community. Gross negligence on the part of the owner has caused this. I dont think theres anyone more upset than me about the inability to post pics. The green 196 above is the only knife ive purchased on this forum. Ive sold one knife that i really wanted to trade for something else. There is literally no "value" in the fee ive paid to belong here. I just enjoy sharing my photos with yall, seeing yours, and learning a little bit more than I knew before. We will have to work through it. I dont think anyone has purposefully hijacked your quota. I will contribute because I get enjoyment out of the community. Not sure what will happen when I have to renew. This is the only social media I use. No ig. No fb. Not even youtube. No games on my phone... lol... sharing pics with other Buck lovers is the only reason I'm here. Hopefully ownership figures out what he has.

It's been an unintended consequence.
I've been looking at it....165... since January 10, 2021
Pretty sure you can delete images in a locked thread from your attachment list,
Editing or replacing is a different matter
You cannot delete or edit any picture in a locked thread.
There are more locked SPS threads than all the other locked threads in the Buck Forum.

I get locking them to keep the newer ones relevant.
But I think it's unnecessary to lock them forever. There's lots of old unlocked threads otherwise.
Why are these treated differently?

I'm not trying to start a big thing over this.
But it's pretty obvious that one thread, controlled by one person. Is largely impacting member's image quotas.

I would appreciate it if in the future, these older threads could be unlocked.

Respectfully,
Thank-you.
