  • Today marks the 24th anniversary of 9/11. I pray that this nation does not forget the loss of lives from this horrible event. Yesterday conservative commentator Charlie Kirk was murdered, and I worry about what is to come. Please love one another and your family in these trying times - Spark

The standard Council Jersey cleans up real nice!

The amount of additional grinding and finishing WAS considerable. But I'd like them to revamp the Velvicut line to be basically like this and at 58 RC so the 5160 actually gets a chance to shine. Actually put the money towards features that matter.
I picked up my HB Velvicut back when they were finish grinding the entire head (all smooth, no tool/forge marks). It looks like they are using a bit beefier head pattern now for their HBs as well as leaving some of the forge marks (for aesthetics, to compare with Hultafors etc. I'm assuming)

The "beefier" Hudson Bay is a revamped design with a taller eye based on the Hudson Bay variant that L.L. Bean had produced for them at one point in time, which largely fixes the problems that are major shortcomings of the "standard" HB, and I call it an "Improved Hudson Bay" as a result.
