PREVIOUS: I've applied for a job transfer back home in Austin, TX. I haven't been able to become an official hog because living in LA near the Beach and with a single income and a family is pretty hard. Now that it's possible to make the same money in The Great State of Texas, it's time for a whole bunch of guns and knives (INFI) I could only dream of in Cali. I'll know by Tuesday. Wish me luck!

UPDATE: I got it! I also got a raise and I move the 18th of Feb!

Thank you for all the well wishes!

Awesome!!! I miss Texas. While stationed at Ft Hood, MANY weekends were spent in Austin. At least my daughter can claim to be a natural born Texan

Congrats!!! Texas isn't my favorite (spent 5 1/2 years there and Colo. is pretty hard to beat), but it is sure as heck is better than Kali!!! My first two kids were born in Ft. Worth, fwiw.

Welcome back...please leave all lowered capacity mags there...and don't bring any of that bullet button nonsense with you either! Though a cooler filled with dry ice and some el cholo's would be cool...

What industry?

Sounds great! Congratulations!

Also with much lower state tax you should really notice that raise too:)

I would never bring that garbage to Texas. I held of buying anything because of those crap laws. How about some Jameson 18 year old Limited Reserve?

I'm with Time Warner. I handle the entertainment industry.

That ought to be 4 claps!

HAHA! I know. There is a limit of words the the thread post.

^------ What he said! lol I thought I was the only one that noticed...

Come on back Alpha Mike, you can leave the beer there too. Why would you need Cali imports when we have Shiner, here!

DD

My wife started packing when we got back from Texas at the beginning of the month. She's more than ready to move home. That's right the only beer (Shiner) i'll drink!

Sounds great! Congratulations!

Thank you. I am sooooooooo looking forward to that! it's kind of nice to keep some of your hard earned money.

Welcome back! :D :D :D

Good to see another Texan returning home.

Austin is a very nice town. Passed on the chance of moving there in the early 70's. Could of hung out at Antone's. :( Congratulations.

I ate the best cheeseburger that I have ever had in my life when I was in Texas! I would live there, if only just for the burgers! Congrats!

Congratulations. Texas will forever be part of me and me of it no matter where I find myself.

Awesome man! I'm going to join you in March. Just bought a house in Prosper, north of Dallas on Monday. Close to the grand kids and a lot nicer winters.

That is awesome! Congrats on the raise! My best friend lives in Texas. I went to visit her and I didn't want to leave! There is so many things to do :D

Congrats and welcome back!! Austin is still cool if you stay out of the center and away from I35 :) The Cedar Park area of Austin is very nice, if I ever end up leaving San Antonio for Austin, that is where I would move.
