The "Stockman" Pattern?

Personally I like a good spey blade, but not the way it is formed on my new 303. I like it a bit thinner with more belly.

I think it's been noted elsewhere, but the spey blade on the 303 is closer to a pen than a traditional spey. That being said, I find that I like the shape of the 303 spey. Of all the blades on a regular stockman, the spey is the one I use least. the 303 spey is almost a pen blade. Like sitflyer, I find that shape useful for small jobs.

And like so many others have said, I find the sheepsfoot the most useful shape. I particularly like it if I have to star a cut in the middle of an item, instead of at the edge. It safely pierces because of the position of the point.

I like a traditional spey blade more than a pen blade as it makes a nice skinner. The sheepsfoot blade I find useful to castrate bovine and hogs as they tend not to puncture themselves should they kick.DM

That picture of the current spey blade on the 303 has inspired me to buy a new one - one of my favorite EDC knives is an old 303, but I sure like the way the blades are designed on the new ones. OH
