The Story of the two most uninformed campers ever

I love the subtle flavor of disdain in the way this story was written, and the way the troopers left them to wait another day for pickup.

That's just f-ed up.

The biggest danger if I went to Alaska is that I probably wouldn't be willing to leave.

Maybe they were worried about overdosing on Vitamin D.

you know your sun science;).

:grumpy:Seriously though:grumpy:, they wasted valuable resources -did they have to pay for this service? I would assume so....WTF man. They should have told 'em too bad -buy the ticket, take the ride.

i would have taken the plb and said some one would be back....eventually, just to scare the hell out of them, right after telling them a story about a bear attack in the area

Haha, tourist season. Good eatin'. :D

Just because it's about 60-70 degrees in the summer here doesn't mean you won't get burnt. It has been in the 80's for the past 2 weeks though...

There are quite a few ignorant idiots that visit AK.

so... they traveled across the continent, got dropped, and within a day, were afraid of the... light? maybe d.c. residents shouldn't have firearms...

Hey hey, i love d.c and spent most of my life there. and my parents live in bethesda. my jaw dropped when i read that the guy was from bethesda, one of my sincerest wishes is to go on a camping trip in the alaskan wilderness.

Why couldn't they just leave them out there? It should be a law...Next time I get a splinter in the woods, I'm callin SAR to come dig it out and extract me from the woods on a gurney:mad:
