The Street Cane, Excellent Weapon and some great Instructional Materials

Well, that is something that is sort of touched on in the "Street Experience" Thread Ray. In most places, there is no real "legal knife" is you tell the Officer that might ask you it is for Self-defense, uhmm...you might go to jail. That's my point.

There are some knives in some areas that are horribly illegal. It does not matter what your excuse is, they're illegal. Some fall into a different area.
 
Exactly so, Don! In my area all concealed fixed bladed knives are illegal, as is any switchblade over 2".

Your point is well taken. I would never offer the explanation that any knife that I ever carry is used for self-defense purposes.

Pretty much means that there is hardly a recognized right to Self-defense when I have to tell Mark Shuey to leave his logo off of my second cane...it is even worse with knives.
 
As I have a Morter fragment in my RT. Lateral Femor, the US Govt. issued me a cane.

I would really like for a lesser authority to try to give me a hassel about it.
Including a foreign govt.
