The suit.

I know what you mean. LIfe has regrets, and I regret not spending more time with my father before he passed on. Life goes too damm fast to waste time on what's not important.

Great story. Life does go fast and it is easy to forget the important; family and the legacy we give them. My son has two daughters and we spend the most time we can with them. They know I like knives and how to be careful.

You have a way with words, Carl. I've enjoyed all your stories. Thank you.

I read this one earlier this morning then came back to read it again. Great story Carl.

Great story, Carl. It's sure not easy raising a boy in a city these days, believe me. Luckily, my guy (7), really likes knives and slingshots and building forts and tramping around in the woods with me.

I like that story Carl. You paint a great picture in the mind.

That choked me up, Carl.
I think I need to go squirrel hunting soon.
Thanks for the wonderful story, one of the best yet.

Good story Carl.
Folks let's please keep colorful expressions out of the thread.

One of the best I have read.

Always a pleasure and always a great lesson or two conveyed.

thanks Carl.

As the Grandson of an extraordinary Fisherman, and the Father of 2 boys, this story really struck a chord.

Sadly a Case knife display is becoming even more rare than a good old hardware store. Carl what a great finish to a great story. I just did a little open fire pit cooking with my two kids tonight. definitely the best time I've had all summer.

Another great story Carl, thank you so much. I hope if I ever have a grandson that we will bond like that also. Right now I try to spend as much time with my father as I can. Thanks.
