Thank You for taking the time to post the extra pic HK
Very nice :)

Here is a very nice Buck 119 I found at the knife show this weekend. 4 spacer 3 line inverted in unused condition. I guess that makes it a 1972. Still looking for the 3 line upright.

Here's another nice one that followed me home this weekend. A Buck 525 Gent with a scrimshawed ship scene. This one came naked with no box so I have no information on it. If anyone has any information about it I'd love to hear.

I initially passed this one up for $30 but some things about it struck me as odd and I went back later and closed the deal for $20. Anyone else see something odd about this one?

Sterling silver... Uh uh. Not for $20. No way. Can't happen. Wouldn't happen. Nope.

However, no banner on the flip side and no pins...

2006 date code ("T" laying on its right side) on blade s/b 1997 (inverted "U"). Replaced blade?

Hard to tell just how heavy it is from the photo.

Sterling Silver Executive. One of a series made in 1997. Yes or no?

OK, I give up. No wait, "DAD" is spelled backwards!

You figured it out. The Sterling Silvers were in the catalogs 1997 to 1999. Gone in the 2000 catalog. This one has a 2006 blade. It came in a 2006 vintage box (half yellow & black) labeled 525 Buck Classic. The shape and engraving pattern clearly is identical to the Sterling Silver but I'm wondering if its a later run, possibly in aluminum. The blade is standard and not polished. I do not have a real Sterling knife to compare with.

Thanks again everyone, for taking the time to share part of your Buck Collection with all of us here on the SPS... ITE ...

First chance to use the internet. I am in the Alps for skiing. So there is only an old 124 for the SPS. Sorry for delay.

Best, Haebbie

Sorry, upload doesn't work, may be tomorrow

Thats a beauty Herbert:thumbup:

Thank you, Fritz!

This is what Mr Matheny wrote to the shown 124:

"This a Pakkawood/Fibron handle called earthwood when it was marketed. I believe about 100 to 250 of these were made. The correct year mark for this knife would be 1988 to 1990. I suspect this specific knife was rehandled by Leroy because he had some of the left over material and the lack of a date code raises a flag. This could have been marketed in Europe but they were also sold here."

Best,
Haebbie

JK...thanx for posting that one...it's giving me some ideas :)
