The Sunday Picture Show... (1-29-2017) . . . Old Show

Buck may not have a specific series or collection for these knives, but your collection is fantastic:thumbup:, Haebbie. Thanks for the showing of it.

I'm not able to see any model number on the blades, but they really look to be similar knives. What Buck model(s) are in the photo? I'd like to try to find one. Again, the very first one you posted with the deer is especially sharp-looking.

Collection? No. But here are a few more cutouts

Boz,

Pretty sure those are 475 Mentor series knives. There is a mini-Mentor also but I think those are the large Mentor

There is a large version called a 470 Mentor and the smaller version called the 475 Mini-Mentor. The stag one with the deer head cutout had 2000 of them made and are often found for sale on the auction sites.

These two like Herbert's are the 475 Mini-Mentor's

A great show today as usual of some outstanding knives.

Here is the Mentor piggyback set with the Mentor and Mini Mentor in one sheath.

ITE the 112 Schwan's truck knife is one I've never seen ,they have to be the best advertising series Buck ever made and you could not buy one but had to make your sales quota . .very cool! The Fort your pair of 112's is causing me economic distress. ..I have to get a burl 112 like that! If only you could get a stone washed blade to go with NS frame. .

Thanks to all for the Mentor info, and the additional Mentor pictures.

Sometimes it is kind of sad when a cool-looking product is no longer made. I'll check around on auction sites to see if any can be found. Those cut-out designs, to me, are really quite unique.

Looking forward to something new again next Sunday. Have a great week!

Oh yes it is. ..I'm starting to get why a lot of Buck collectors move to the bigger bladed Bucks. They are impressive and very striking in or out of your hand. .
