The Sunday Picture Show... (1-6-2019) . . . (OLD Show look at the DATE...)

Thank you ITE for another SPS and thanks to all who take the time and trouble to post photos of their Buck treasures. The Gen 5, designed by Josh Buck some years ago is a handsome knife, here are mine. Preston

Fort, I just found and sharpened my D2 118 after it being MIA for close to a year..Absolutely a fantastic user! pjsjr the 2 Gen 5's I have I've been tempted to use because they feel good in my hand but because they are mirror polished Blade Show award knives I keep them for display only..

Mike, What is "shockwood"? Do you know if it's wood and alumilite? Sure is nice.

Preston, I've been meaning to buy a Gen5 to redo. Yours are sure nice.

Great show everyone...pete

What a awesome show we have going on. Lots of time for more pictures. Thanks again to all who share

Awesome show everyone, thank you Armand and all who have posted photos today. I am on 12 hour nightshirt number 3 with one more to go, so please keep the pictures flowing. It's raining hard here in CA tonight.

Best I could come up with. In person it glitters in the light. Not sure what that part would be,

Shokwood Hybrid Knife Blocks feature both subdued and wildly loud colors paired with stabilized figured Big Leaf Maple or Buckeye natural edge. The woods chosen for these
products are always highly figured and are distributed for maximum impact in your finished piece. On certain combinations dyed wood pieces are used to add to the effect, while others always feature natural wood to emphasize the contrast between nature’s beauty and our colored metallic and pearl resins

Buck's model 532 Bucklock has often been used to showcase unusual and interesting handle scales. One of the many interesting materials we have come across is ShokWood@. Shokwood is made by taking a previously unusable piece of wood, stabilizing it and filling the voids with a resin. In this case, the material we have chosen for the handle scales is made using natural colored maple burl and filling the voids with a blue metallic resin. This is the first A. G. Russell™ exclusive from Buck in 2017.

The 3" drop point blade is 420Hc stainless at 57-59 Rc. with a high mirror polish. The frame is nickel silver with custom file-work on the spine. Measures 4-1⁄4" closed. Weighs 3.6 oz. Ships with a black leather pouch. Made in the U.S.A.
