Here's my pictures for the SPS... This Sunday I have a Custom 102 fixed blade Buck knife... This is going to look sweet after I clean it up... Well, it really looks sweet the way it is to me... I got this one from a ex-Buck-employee (Not Leroy)...

Hi Armand -

Here are a couple of pictures of my new 651 Intruder Pig Sticker - thanks to Haebbie for the help in getting this baby!!

I went with a "green" scheme for these pictures. I will post pics of the small proto I bought later today.

Also shown is a 112 two-dot that my friend John Kiedaisch (JK Handmade Knives) re-scaled for me. I included that to show how big that pigsticker is!

Aluminum and wood, a rarely used combination from Buck.
These are the few I have.

Enjoy the Sunday.

Best,
Haebbie

Here is a companion to ITE's Sunday knife, a 103BKP. Very striking with the black phenolic handle and the mirror polished blade. There were three knives in the Gold Series, a 102,103, and 119. Circa about 1990.

I just got this a few days ago. It was "preowned" and only came with the COA and sheath. It wouldn't make a good user but it's sure pretty enough for a display piece, so I ordered a new one from the NRA that will come with a wood display stand. They have Chuck and Josh's signatures on them and this one is numbered 363/500.

Nice knives so far:thumbup:
mqqn...what is the burlwood on your 112 ???

when I got this little guy my imediate thoughts were of the rivers and streams of my home state of New Hampshire...
one of the things I miss most are those rock bed rivers with huge granite boulders...

and the yummy trout I used to pull from them :)

Hi All,

Very nice SPS going again today. A big thanks to all for coming to see the Bucks or to show some Buck knives!

Well for today's show I'm showing a knife that I posted here some months ago. Today I'm posting it's twin....sort of;). This is a gold etch of D Boone, the first one I found had some missing gold in the etching:(, it was part of the 1000 knives issued and came with COA card and the back of the blade is engraved 0211/1000. The new D Boone knife has full gold in the etching; but, has no engraved numbers on the back of the blade and no COA card (over run knife?).

Just in the sake of completeness to the other two BPs

That was the knife that brought me to the Blade Forums :)
several years ago.

Great show guys.
Check out the choil on these two 103's. Both are upright 3 line with 4 micarta spacers. Yet, the lower one has a different choil and slimer handle. Has any one else noticed this on their models? DM

Tony, You get cold taking that photo? Haebbie, I like your 116 web special or build out. DM

Yes, David, I like the 116 as well. Did you order the knife too?

But question: what do you mean with different choil and slimmer handle?
Is it possibly visible on the picture below too?

Hi folks -

sitflyer - that is maple burl on that JK 112. It is not as smoky as your Madrone burl, but it has a lot of interesting figuring.

Here are some pictures of a knife that I bought that was described as a "Buck steak knife prototype".

I initially thought it may be a factory mock-up prior to the Empress collection, but after I received the knife and looked around the web a little, I now believe it is an example of a 107 Scout Knife.

The knife is somewhat small, approx 7 3/4" overall with a 4" blade. The handles may be ivory micarta. The blade is not completely finished - looking like it had just the initial grind.

If anyone who worked or works at Buck has any info on this one I would be very interested in hearing the stories.

Thanks and best regards -

I didn't work there yet I hope studied information counts.
That model (107)has a disjointed history and came out in 1976 with a stainless finger guard which was dropped in 84. Prior to this the same model only with the old English script stamp 'centered' on the left side came out in 73 w/ the Empress Trio set having 3 small pins. Buck came out w/ the Windsor Set model 206 in 77 with 6 of these same knives w/ the same centered 2 line stamp and had serrations. In 84 the handle pins went from 3 small to 2 large. This same model 206 set was brought back in 1990 w/ 3 medium size handle pins and a horizontal old English script two line stamp w/ various handle materials. It is of this era that I think yours came from as it has a different grind. DM

Haebbie, The choil I speak of is like the one on your 3rd top knife and bottom 2nd knife. The handle I'm used to seeing is like that on your bottom 4th knife. Thanks for the photo. DM
