Just got these Friday. I am just going to put a coat of Renaissance Wax on the leather and leave it. Why would someone dye it after all the Micarta spacers do enhance it. They do have a Black Oxide blade on both.

For your show, Armand, one of my favorite knives, the frontiersman with white micarta handle. As always, thank you for your ongoing work.

Hi All,

Happy Sunday to everyone I hope you have a fantastic day. Thank you Armand for the GSOE, it's always a bright spot for the week!

Here are a few of Xmas tins I was lucky to have gotten this year (or I guess it would be last year).

Haebbie,
Good morning!
I like the 124 frontiersman, great knife! Also I like the Mercedes steering wheel, do you have the rest of the car? It is a nice steering wheel and goes together with the frontiersman. Have a great day.

Good morning all and thank you once again Armand. I look forward to the big show every Sunday!
Well, I grabbed this little guy at the big W while grocery shopping, only one they had. Here is the El Morro...

Happy Sunday to all and thank you Armand for getting out show up and running for all of us to enjoy each and every Sunday.

There has been some talk on another thread on Buck Prototypes so I thought I would throw this one out there.
I got this knife from a 30+ year retired employee when I bought his entire collection. In talking to him it sounded like while he was there he would design knives and work with the shop to make one or more than
show the knives at meetings and such to see what the powers that be thought of them. He showed me quite a few of his drawings and gave me some of them. He explained to me that the knife below he put
together when carbon fiber was just starting to become popular as well as kydex sheaths. He said he designed the knife and had someone in the knife shop make one for him to show to the higher ups as well as one for himself.
He than gave it to someone he worked with who made the kydex sheath. He said Chuck did not like the knife design and absolutely did not like the idea of a plastic sheath so the idea was scrapped.
I took it with me to the BCCI 25th Anniversary in Post Falls a few years ago and showed it and a few others to Joe Houser. He looked at it through a loop for a minute or two and said that in his opinion the knife was a
counterfeit. I told him the story behind the knife and where it came from but I did not get any more response so I dropped it.

Early last week I took some leftover stove top stuffing out behind my place and set up a trail camera to see what might be drawn to it. A couple nights later I went out there and
retrieved the memory card and walked by the pile of stuffing only to find a coyote dumped right on top of what was left over of the stuffing. I came in the house and looked at the pictures on the computer that the camera
caught. This coyote hung out for 5 minutes and ate most of the stuffing than proceeded to mark it by taking a dump on what was left over. He has not been back to it since.
Does this mean he likes my wife's cooking or hates it?

Cause I wanted to dye it. And condition it.I like the way it turned out.

Great show again everyone! And thanks ITE for doing this each week.

I don't have anything new and exciting to show off. I've been clearing out the safe and trying to thin the herd to work on some new projects.

This is one I had hoped to finish today, but it's just too cold in my shop. At least that's the excuse I'm using. This is Abalone on a NS frame I milled the rears off of along with a feather Damascus blade.

Once I get her done I'll do a better job on the photos. Photos don't do this material much justice.

I read this thread every Sunday, such beautiful knives it can be a bit intimidating but what the heck. I collect 303's so don't look for any real jaw dropping beauties from me...

Some nice Buck knives today on the GSOE:thumbup::thumbup::thumbup::thumbup::thumbup:

Here is an early 1980's Custom shop Kalinga:thumbup::thumbup::thumbup:

I put some Christmas gift cards to good use today and purchased my very first 347 Vantage. The Alaskan Guide model from the big C with S30V blade and titanium aluminum nitride coating. I've read mixed reviews on the Vantage. Mine is centered, opens smooth and locks up great. I got a good one for sure. Very nice knife.:thumbup:

Does this mean he likes my wife's cooking or hates it?

Coyotes will take a dump on top of another animal's pile of dung to show dominance....so, I'm not sure what this means.
