The Sunday Picture Show... (1-8-2017) ... (Old Show)

Since its a little quiet on this particular GSOE, I'll add a little more eye candy in my only authenticate Custom Shop knife. #28 Buck 928 from 1991. I've shown it before, but this is the first time this year...:)

Hello Phil,
Nice to meet you. In my opinion the tangs are the same on both knives. This pic. is extremely close up and makes things look bigger than normal. I wanted to get the tang with part of the handle and the guard. I measured the tangs on an Alaskan Guide 119 and the Brahma 119 and they were both dead on .5 or 1/2 inch.

Sorry Makael didn't mean any disrespect. If YOU like them that's what counts

MICHAEL

You asked why, so I responded. You were very specific when you said the word dyed so I am assumed you were responding to the Brahma post I made about dyeing the handles.

I saw the pics of the 2 Brahma's with dyed handles and to me it take away all the reason I purchased the stacked leather and Micarta handles. Had no idea who's they were. If you like them that way that's what counts. If your going to use them to eviscerate a deer I see why you would coat them. I have other knives that I use for the job.

I like the 124 frontiersman, great knife! Also I like the Mercedes steering wheel, do you have the rest of the car? It is a nice steering wheel and goes together with the frontiersman.

Thank you, Michael for your kind wishes. No, the old Mercedes went a long time ago. I used it for 15 years and finally it was 30 years old. But at least it was too expensive to keep the car running. So I digged out another steering wheel (black) changed them and gave the car away - with a big tear in my left eye. When I'll find another old Mercedes in good condition, you know what I would do at once ... :)

To the knife: it was my first thought: The white micarta frontiersman fits prfectly to the steeing wheel. I would put the knife into the glovelocker or give it its place under the dash board.

Haebbie, I sure do know what you will do, introduce your new Mercedes to it's new steering wheel. You are too funny!!

Yes, Michael, and the car will be proud to have such a nice knife under the dash board and such a nice steering wheel in front of it

I like the vintage look of the handles.

Thank you very much for the info! Would have been nice if it were a bit wider. Not that ever felt the regular 119 is not strong enough, but still would be nice!

I always liked the look of stacked leather but never bought one. Is it easy to clean?
