The Sunday Picture Show... (10-15-2017) . . . Old Show look at the DATE...

Happy SPS everyone! More great knives, as usual.

I spent a good part of Saturday clearing honeysuckle and other brush. My Gen5 is always by my side for yard work. It's the first time I really got to use the Froe though. There's a lot I like about it. It's got a great shape and feel. The blade is stout, heavy and sharp. Very useful. I do have a problem with it though. The handle; while appropriate looking, is really bad for me. With leather gloves on, it likes to slip around a bit and more than a couple of times I almost lost in mid-swing. Perhaps some checkering or swapping the slabs for textured Micarta will fix my issue. A lanyard provision would have been nice too. I ended up parking it for my hatchet.

Skyler, that D guard in silver is something special! 16 inches long. .one of the biggest I've ever seen. Is it one of the true custom shop made knives? Sombody with extremey good taste and deep pockets designed that one !
