The Sunday Picture Show... (10-16-2011)

Selector Project: Heres a photo of some Selector blades with the early 428 twin blade handle. In the second photo notice both blades now lock. Thanks to all who gave advice and contributed to this project. DM

Wow a double selector! Very cool. Did you mod that? That saw looks actually useful. Nice set DM

This weeks contribution is the engraved 2-dot 110 I asked about a couple of weeks ago. I finally got all the polishing residue out of the engraving lines and it is sweet. Whoever did it spent some serious time on it and ground all the rivets flat and rounded the bolsters slightly. I found the picture model at an estate sale.

I've spent the last two evenings fighting with my PC. Just finished rebuilding the HD and problems solved. First stop, the Sunday Picture Show. I guess it's Monday by now. I love the Penn State knives. My parents were at Penn State in the 1940's which is where they met (lucky for me). The Penn State mascot shown on the blade of your knife is called the Nittany Lion, named for nearby Mt. Nittany where they once roamed in the 1800's. No time for a new picture so I'll show an old one of my favorite "Lion", along with a Buck knife of course.

Haebbie, Yes same thing. Jar, Yes I made a longer saw blade and the trailing point blade mounted in it. This model originally held one permanent blade only slip lock and a slot for the selector/ exchange a blade. What I did was make the permanent blade locking and left the selector slot as is. So, now you can have two blades both locking. Thanks, DM

Sundays are my favorite day on this forum. Here is my little but growing collection. All of these are users, I have not started collecting but I really enjoy using Buck knives. My vantage is at Buck warranty right now getting cleaned up. Anyways, no cool picture this week but you can see my newly aqcuired 393 Omni Hunter and a 135 Caper Knife combo. Awesome combo!

I like this knife. I have a 560c that I would like to do something like this with. I've thought about drilling out the circles in the titanum scales. Nice knife brother.

I like the Black Bucktools Longbow, I've never seen them before. Heath, those copperspacers are cool! something different.

Heres my latest project, a solid brass scaled AG S30V bladed 110 with 560 style FG and venting. Gold plated bolts hold it together. feels better than it looks, except when it's cold :)
