Finally, a cure for the sickness! You must have a few spare antibodies I betcha. Only need two knives. Only two. Limits? I need them all so I too could use the cure. Yea. You know it. Down with the sickness. That's me. When you get that 12 step program to lie flat give please me a buzz. Limits... Waz dat.

My BIL used to live in La Mesa, wife and I lived in El Cajon.

I lived up the hill from Casa de Oro. Sort of between Lemon Grove and El Cajon :)
When I was a young man, I loved driving to the Buck factory in El Cajon to pick out a new knife.

Here are 3 buildout 300's in smooth black delrin, to go with the yellow I posted earlier :)

the 305 came in a box with a unique label.
It says Cadet and 305

Good show so far!!! We carved our pumpkins with this 281 and it worked out excellent!

Have a great day everyone!

My Lochsa came in this week. Overall happy with the knife. I agree with the thumbstud placement being poor. Also mine has a tiny defect on one bolster.
It may become a weekend edc for me so I am not worried about it , but with the pricetag on this puppy you would think things like the the thumb stud and defects would not be overlooked.

Here is a Buck 102 custom stag with a mirror polished blade of 425-M and brass guard and pommel from 1991. Comes in the original brown custom box which I also posted on Stumps Stag and Ivory thread today.

Gen-5 Skinner from 2007. Snakewood handle and mirror polished 154CM blade.
I don't know how the BOS 154CM logo was applied but to my disappointment it is "flaking" off.

My reds, 2 106s (two out of one hundred I believe):

Those are 2 gorgeous 106's! Between the two of us we have three out of 100, although your photography skills make yours look much better. I really want to add the 124 and 402 to my collection.

It is the knife that you have with you that counts.

This 759 sits in a dish on the living room coffee table with other important stuff. It came in handy when I trimmed the plastic GITD kit knife for the grand kids (too nice, I think I'll keep it myself!). Whittaker, a local hero, started RMI which guides mountain climbers all over the world. If you ever get to 14k ft + Mt. Rainier (Washington State), and you should, visit the Rainier Mountaining Inc. hut and meet some guides/climbers.

I wondered where that one was. You have it!!! Outstanding addition to your collection. Well done. And thank you for the kind words.

Sunday Snack Time :p

Orange Waternelon and a Honeydew Melon from the garden, about to encounter the super versatile Buck 932 Slicer :)

I had to go dig up a couple of my "reds" after seeing all the posts here about them this week.

The story on the 124 in front was that it was an illegal knife being made by an employee in 1973 that was supposed to be working the line.
Buck confiscated it and sold it to the shop foreman's brother-in-law in 1974.
The shop foreman was Charlie Davis and the BIL was Jimmy Magnuson.
I bought it from Jimmy in unused condition when he decided to clear out some old knives.
I don't know who it was that was working on it, but look at the difference in the swedge between the two.

Armand is going to be pleased with this week's SPS! :)
Still plenty of time for more pictures!!

Phil29….glad you posted a photo of your Buck knife here.:thumbup:

I remembered after I made my last post that I got another "red" Buck knife from Jimmy Magnuson.
The story on this one was that Buck employees were able to work on their own knives when not on the clock.
I believe Jimmy told me he made this slim 1973 Buck 110 using red Micarta on his own time.

I love these kind of custom knives and stories! :)

Great knives everyone and love all the red micarta handles. They are getting harder and harder to find.

Mark - I really like that slimmed down red micarta 110. I wish Buck would make one like that in either a production knife or as a limited edition. Nice knife with a great story. Thanks for showing it.

For my last knife of this week I have a Buck 500 Duke #500BFSLE-B with Buffalo handles in what Buck called the Royal Flush. This one were made in 2009 and came in a black limited edition box with a black distressed leather sheath.
