Okay, I finally got back home after being gone most of this year. I have really enjoyed the SPS whenever I could get to a computer, so I decided my first post in the SPS will be my first Buck knife, the knife that got me loving Buck knives back in the 1970's....a VERY well used 110. I say very well used because I carried it for about 25 years on construction jobs and I wore out two leather sheaths while carrying it.

I haven't used this knife since I retired about ten years ago. I guess you could say I've put the ol' boy out to pasture. I have other EDC Bucks now.

I've also been reading BG's thread on taking photos of knives. I dug out my tripod and used the timer in the super macro mode with my Pentax Optio for these four pictures. Not as good as a lot of the pictures I see on here, but I feel these aren't too bad for a beginner. :)

And.................big THANK YOU to ItsTooEarly for starting the SPS each week!!

This is my old and very good Buck Ergo Hunter Pro and the label Safari Club International

It's not always the best looking or most valuable knife that grabs you. Sometimes, with some knives, it just happens.

Some awesome pictures so far guys...

Here's My favorite 112's...So far;):)

Jerry,
I wonder if the inverted BP cpm 154 Etch was done like that because it was applied after the knife was in a handle. It seems like the non inverted ones are always slightly hidden by the bolster so that would be impossible....
Ideas anyone?
Sunday is always a great day around here, nice pictures everyone!

The light is a little off so you can't see the luminescence of the grain very well. I will try again soon to capture it in the sunlight. I built them to match my compact 45. Let me know what you think.
