:thumbup::thumbup::thumbup: Glad to see that you finally got them Jim! I like the feel of the scales on the Vantage Force Pro much better than the aluminum ones on the Avid.

Now, how about that new Harley? Gonna go for it???

A nice story about this knife. Last year, I worked to pick up a 2002 110 to give my 9 year old son some day. 2002 is the year he was born. Anyway, a couple months ago, I had every 110 I owned laid out. The Heritage 110, cow bone, nickel silver bolstered, paperstone BCCI 110...several other handsome knives. He is not yet aware that I'm going to give him this knife some day. I had them all laid out, just checking them over and asked him which knife he liked the most. To my surprise, the little knucklehead pointed right to this 2002 110 and said "That one!". I guess there is something to be said about the classic look of the 110. Maybe if he shoots that first "buck" this season, we'll find a way to give it to him. I'm still thinking it over.

I found two threads here on the forums that you started on photography from back in 2009. Looks like lots of very good information for getting better knife photos....and on the cheap too!

I've got a little shopping to do this week and hopefully I'll have improved pictures to post on the next SPS.

Thanks!!

Dave, I haven't handled an avid vantage pro yet, so I can't compare! The G-10 on mine is grippy and aggressive though! I love it! As far as the Harley.... I called on insurance and I'm debating LOL

Great SPS again guys! Thanks for posting all the great pics!!

No new knives this weekend, only a display or two in progress. The wood is Man's wood that Leroy gave me. Decided to smooth it up and stain it. I put an Elk crown cap on for the blade holder.

This open-chevron (1986) 112 is the one I asked about in a thread a little while back, wondering how you guys would handle it. As you may be able to make out from the pics, the blade is way short, and the wood & brass have endured some pretty rough treatment over the years.
Currently, she's on her way to Post Falls, where our friend Mr. Houser has graciously agreed to guide the ol' gal through a rebirth of sorts.
(I'll be sure to post some glamor shots of her when she comes back from the spa... :D )
